HiMCM 2025 6th Place Distinction

For the 2025 High School Mathematical Contest in Modeling (HiMCM), my team investigated how mathematical modelling could inform the selection of a more sustainable Super Bowl host city.

We developed a multi-criteria decision-making framework combining the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), entropy weighting, and the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). By evaluating competing environmental and logistical considerations, we explored how quantitative methods could support decisions involving complex trade-offs.

Our work earned a sixth-place Canadian team distinction.

The paper is under review at Elsevier's Sustainability Analytics and Modelling.
